About EAA Chapter
1008 Welcome to the Bismarck/Mandan EAA Chapter 1008 The members of chapter
1008 welcome you to a happy and proud group of aviation
enthusiasts. Our member pilots come from a vast field of
professions which includes Doctors, lawyers, engineers, law
enforcement, business owners, airport managers, air traffic
controllers and all aspects of aviation. The chapter boasts
mechanics (AP/IA) and flight instructors (CFI/CFII/MEI/MEII). Visitors are welcome If you are from the area or from out town, stop in and visit with us, the coffee pot is always on.
We meet every third Saturday of the month except for December/January (Christmas) and July/August (Oshkosh) at the Mandan (Y19) ND airport pilots lounge. Stop in and join our meeting/hangar sessions, we will make you feel right at home. During the warmer months we generally do a cook out in the airport lounge yard.
As the President of Bismarck/Mandan EAA chapter 1008 It is an honor to be elected to that office and to be associated with such a varied group of aviation people. They have entrusted in me the office of leading them in the goals of the EAA and our EAA chapter. Those goals are the “Young Eagles” program and being an advocate of safety in the homebuilt aircraft group, as well as being an EAA spokesperson to the public. I currently serve as Chairman of the North Dakota Aviation Council (NDAC), www.ndac.aero and represent all of North Dakota aviation in many ways.
